Driving back from Auckland I decided to take the scenic route, on a road I've never been on before, along part of the Pacific Coast Highway. I only did a very short part of it, from Auckland down to about Thames. It's kind of touristy, but it's a hell of a lot better than the main highways. These photos are all from a chilled out lil beach town called Maraetai.
A few photos from my arvo drive around the back roads of the Waikato. I don't think I could ever get sick of looking at these rolling hills and green grass.
Lately I've been contemplating buy a new DSLR camera, I'm getting into my photography more and more these days, and I seemed to have it in my head that getting a new camera and some more expensive gear would be a good idea. You know, take shit to the next level. At the moment I have an entry level Canon EOS 1100D, a couple of standard lenses, plus a 50mm f/1.4. A pretty basic and inexpensive set up.
