What is Opaque Destinations all about?

None of us can ever be certain where we'll end up. Our destinations are never set in stone... We just have to do our thing, follow our bliss, and trust that we'll end up exactly where we're meant to.

Well, that's exactly what this journal is about. Finding your way as you go along, and feeling good lost.

On 99% of my adventures, I never know where I'm going until I get there. I started this journal to share those adventures, and where they take me.

The majority of my posts at the moment are from New Zealand, where I'm currently living.

Why start it?

After a couple of years of 'blogging' through my design business, fresh by sian about design, what inspired me, what awesome things to buy, etc etc, I started to feel like it wasn't me anymore. And as my love for the outdoors and for adventure has grown over the last couple of years, as soon as the idea for a travel journal popped into my head, I knew it was exactly what I wanted to do... Combining two of my favorite things, photography, and sharin' the inspiration.

Who's behind it?

Ma name is Sian Richardson. I'm a free-spirited creative wizard, currently living it up in my homeland of New Zealand.

I'm a wandering designer, who works with ass-kicking brands + businesses to bring their ideas to life.

I recently returned from living in Sydney for a couple of years, where I discovered my love for getting outside and getting amongst nature. I'm planning my next adventure at the moment, but while I'm in NZ I'm getting out and about as much as I can, to see this beaut country of mine.

I'm extremely stoked to be able to say that I love what I do. And more importantly, I do what I love... Always. I don't believe there should be a balance of work/play in life, so I'm aiming for a life of all around adventure and radness.
